North Burnaby’s skyline is looking dramatically different these days as Phase 2 of SOLO District, Altus, climbs higher and higher.
Today, the tower stands 489 feet above the ground and crews are working on Altus’ 47th level. When complete, the building will be the equivalent of a 55 story residential tower, boasting 280 homes and 230,000 square feet of office space.
Several companies are currently personalising their office space and the office tower will open for business in January 2017.
A variety of shops and services have opened their doors at SOLO District in recent months, creating a community where people can grab their groceries, prescriptions and a coffee all within walking distance. Whole Foods, Starbucks, Shoppers Drug Mart and BC Liquor Store are among the companies proud to have locations here. In just a few days, G&F Financial will open, too, adding banking to one of the many services available at SOLO District.
The Altus residences officially sold out in June 2016. Crews are now working hard to complete these luxurious condos, installing plumbing, flooring and appliances starting on the lower levels and working their way up the tower.
Approximately 225 dedicated construction crews are working daily to bring Altus to fruition, and that number will grow to about 300 in December. Already, windows have been installed all the way up to level 35 and the building’s roof will be in place by early February 2017.
We’re looking forward to welcoming Altus residents to their new homes in beginning summer 2017.
It’s an exciting time at SOLO District and we can’t wait to share with you what’s coming next!
