Big Business Finds New Home at SOLO District

SOLO 234

When Andrew Kemp, the president and CEO of CMW Insurance, went looking for a new office for his booming business, he chose SOLO District for one main reason: its ideal location.

Kemp said SOLO is perfectly situated for companies that have customers all over the Lower Mainland because of its closeness to highways, transit and other municipalities.

“It’s a developing business centre in a key location for financial service providers in the Lower Mainland,” Kemp said. “It’s good for seeing our customers and it’s easy to access for our employees.”

CMW is a leading commercial insurance broker in BC that provides solutions for businesses and personal insurance needs, according to Kemp.

He became a partner with CMW in 2004 after working for another commercial broker for 19 years.

Kemp specializes in construction and real estate risk management and said that CMW’s relationship with Appia Development played a role in the decision to relocate to SOLO.

“We like the space, location and developer,” Kemp said. “We have a long-standing relationship with Appia.”

CMW is currently located at 1901 Rosser Avenue, just across the street from SOLO, but Kemp said the company has outgrown the space.

“It will be a bright, beautiful new building,” Kemp said of his future office. “We’re really excited about it.”

The new CMW office is expected to open at SOLO District in March 2016 on the 7th floor of the Altus building.
